Waiting Room
The Waiting Room feature displays the patients that are waiting to be immunized/vaccinated. Patients are queued from the Patient Demographics screen via the Add to Queue, Save & Queue, Save & Continue, or related buttons.
 Â Users must have a Facility selected, have the Mass Immunizations and Wait List Access permissions with the Facility setup, and the Enable Waiting Room option enabled (selected). |
Waitlist Managers call the first name on the list and work their way down the list. When the patient from the Waitlist Queue presents at the vaccination station, they are selected from the list and the Vaccination View/Add page opens. If a patient does not respond when their name is called, they can be deferred. Deferred patients remain at the top of the list, but are placed in the Deferred Patients section. If the patient does not respond after a couple of cycles, or for voluntary reasons, the name can be removed from the list with the Remove button.
To access the Waitlist Queue, click Patient > Waiting Room from the menu. The Administration Waitlist page opens. Waiting Room patients are listed with these columns/fields:

The total number of patients deferred. |

Deferred Patients |
The list of patients that are currently deferred. To select one, click the arrow button next to the patient's name. |

First Name |
The patient's first name. |

Middle Name |
The patient's middle name. |

Last Name |
The patient's last name. |
|
Birth Date |
The patient's birthdate. |

Time Added/Deferred |
The time the patient was added to the Waitlist Queue and/or the time they were added to the Waitlist Deferred Queue. |

Waitlist Patients |
The list of patients that are currently waiting (not deferred). To select one, click the arrow button next to the patient's name. |
Click one of the following buttons:
- Click the select arrow for a patient in the list to select that patient to provide a vaccination or medication. The Patient Edit - Vaccination/Medication Add page opens.
- Click Remove to remove the patient from the Waitlist Room. Click OK on the confirmation message to confirm, or click Cancel to keep the patient in the Waitlist Queue.
- Click Defer to delay the patient and place them into the Deferred section of the page. Once a patient is deferred, you can either select or remove them.
