IWeb  First Responder Module User Guide |
The First Responder Physicians & Vaccinators menu allows users to search, add, and edit names of physicians and vaccinators for consistency in order to avoid data entry redundancy. The Physicians & Vaccinators menu has three links:
A physician is the primary care physician for a responder/patient and can also be selected on the responder record. A vaccinator is a person who administers shots and can also be selected on the vaccination record.
To search for a physician or vaccinator, click the Physicians & Vaccinators > Search/Add menu link. On the Physician/Vaccinator Maintenance page that opens, enter the search criteria (optional) and click Search. The available search criteria fields are as follows:

To search for a Physician (alone), a Vaccinator (alone), or Physicians and Vaccinators (both), select it from the drop-down list (after which the option is automatically selected). |
Physician/Vaccinator Last Name |
To search for a specific physician/vaccinator by last name, enter it (after which the option is automatically selected). |
Organization (IRMS) / Organization (IRMS) Group / Do Not Limit |
To search for a physician/vaccinator associated with a specific organization or organization group, select it from the drop-down list (after which the option is automatically selected). Otherwise, select Do Not Limit (default). |
Facility / Facility Group / Do Not Limit |
To search for a physician/vaccinator associated with a specific facility or facility group, select it from the related drop-down list (after which the option is automatically selected). Otherwise, select Do Not Limit (default). |
VFC PIN |
To search for a physician/vaccinator by a specific VFC PIN, select it from the drop-down list, after which the option is automatically selected. |
The search results appear in the Search Results section of the page, with the following fields and buttons:

Click this button to view the physician/vaccinator details. Click Edit on the Physician/Vaccinator Maintenance [Detail] page to edit the details. Click Back on the page to return to the search page. |
First Name |
The physician or vaccinator's first name. |
Middle Name |
The physician or vaccinator's middle name. |
Last Name |
The physician or vaccinator's last name. |
Title |
The physician or vaccinator's title, if applicable. |
Organization (IRMS) |
The physician or vaccinator's associated organization number. |
Inactive |
Displays Y to indicate the physician/vaccinator is currently inactive. |
Type |
Displays P (physician), V (vaccinator), or B (both physician and vaccinator) to indicate the type. |
To add a new physician or vaccinator, first conduct a search to make sure they do not already exist in the system, then click the Add button located at the bottom right of the Search Results list. Enter at least the required information for the physician/vaccinator and click Save. Click Cancel to return to the previous page without saving any changes.

To edit an existing physician/vaccinator, first conduct a search, then click the arrow button in the Select column for that physician/vaccinator in the search results list. On the Physician/Vaccinator Maintenance [Detail] page that opens, click the Edit button. Make the changes as necessary and click Save.
